The Matchup
  • The Greyhounds are back on the road on Tuesday evening, as they are traveling to New Jersey to face the NJIT Highlanders. 
  • This is the sixth meeting between the two programs, with Loyola holding a 2-1-2 edge over NJIT. 
  • The Greyhounds won their meeting last season, 2-0, at home in both teams' season opener. Jack Endacott and Nick Turturro scored the goals for Loyola.

  • Tyler Flynn recorded a goal and a assist last season, as he started in 12 of 15 games last season. 
  • Luca Chen saw big minutes in the midfield during his freshman season, playing in 15 games last season.
  • Chris Ogor, Brandon Meminger, Ben Schouten and Tyler Tucker highlight the experienced senior class for the Greyhounds, as the four have combined to play in 171 games during their Loyola careers. 

Scouting NJIT 
  • The Highlanders come into the matchup with a 1-2 record on the season, as they are coming off of a 4-1 win over Manhattan.
  • The Highlanders have had five different goalscorers score their five goals this season, with three different players recording an assist. 
  • Diogo Rebelo leads the team with 15 shots this season. 
  • In goal, Andre Faerman has played every minute, recording five saves, a 1.67 GAA, and a .500 save percentage. 
  • Entering the season, the Highlanders were picked to finish in seventh place in the America East, finishing just one place higher than last place Binghamton. 
  • NJIT is coming off of a 2025 season where they finished 3-9-5 on the season, and failed to reach the America East Tournament.

  • The Greyhounds are 51-20-17 in the Patriot League since the beginning of the 2016 season. 
  • In 2022, the Greyhounds set a program-high with 8 ties on the season.
  • The Greyhounds are 19-1-4 since the beginning of the 2021 season when scoring multiple goals. They are also 19-1-2 when leading at halftime and 18-6-14 when they out shoot opponents since the beginning of 2021.

Non-Conference Play

  • Loyola has played all of their non-conference foes at least once before, as they will play local foes UMBC and Mount St. Mary's this season. This is the first matchup against UMBC since the 2015 season, as Loyola holds a 20-4-3 record in the series.
  • This will also be the first matchup against Mount St. Mary's since the 2019 season, as they own a 25-4-1 record in the series, winning each of the last 20 matchups.
