Bethlehem, PA -- The Patriot League announced their weekly Player of the Week awards on Monday afternoon, as Loyola University Maryland's Lukas Cores and
Edwin Espinal-Elvir were named Players of the Week.
Cortes was named Rookie and Midfielder of the Week, while Espinal-Elvir was named Forward of the Week, as it is the first Patriot League award for both players.
Cortes scored his first goal of the season, while also adding a pair of assists in the Greyhounds 4-2 win at Holy Cross. He was a dominant force throughout the game and constantly applied pressure to the Crusaders back line.
Espinal-Elvir scored a goal and added an assist in the win. His goal was his first as a Greyhound, while his third assist is second on the team, one behind Cortes. He scored the opening goal on Saturday, while his assist came on the game-winner.
