Preston Ball posted two even-par rounds, and
Evan Brown had one to go with a 1-over in the second, to help the Loyola University Maryland golf team place second after 36 holes at the 35
th-Annual Georgetown Intercollegiate on Monday.

The Greyhounds sit at 4-over par two-thirds of the way through the tournament, trailing only Washington. The Huskies, who are ranked 28
th in the nation by Golfweek's ratings, are 5-under.

Florida Atlantic and Princeton are seven shots back of the Greyhounds at 11-over, while Butler and William & Mary are another stroke behind in a tie for fifth. St. Joseph's, Seton Hall, the host Hoyas, the Rhode Island, DePaul and Creighton round out the pack at the par-71, 7,102-yard Four Streams Golf Club.

Ball teed off from the eighth hole in his second round and birdied that track, but five holes into his second 18 he was 2-over par. He made the turn to his back-nine at 3-over and then had three birdies to get back to level for his round.

He had three birdies to go with an eagle on the 444-yard, par-4 ninth hole in his first round and was even for the day. After 36 holes, he is alone is sixth place at the tournament.

Brown posted three birdies and the same number of bogeys during his first round to card an even-par 71 after 18 holes, but two double bogeys and a bogey among his 10 holes in the second round had him at 5-over for the day.

The junior battled back to post three-straight pars, followed by a pair of birdies among three holes before he eagled the 531-yard par-5 fourth to get to 1-over where he would remain. Brown is tied for seventh at 1-over for the tournament.

Carlo Pizzano had the Greyhounds' best round of the day, going 1-under in the first round with birdies on two of his last six holes. He then shot 3-over in the second round to finish Monday at 2-over in a tie for 14
th.

Brandon Berry posted 15 pars during his first round and was even through 18, but he slipped to a tie for 29
th overall with a score of 5-over in the second.

Nick Mejia shot 7-over 78 in the first round, but he scored for the Greyhounds in the second, shooting 1-over 72. At 8-over, he is tied for 43
rd overall.

Two Loyola individuals are playing this week at Four Streams.
Matt Malits was even through the first round with three birdies and three bogeys, and he finished the day 3-over to tie for 18
th.
Turner Foster was 2-over through 18 and finished the day 7-over to tie for 36
th.

The Greyhounds will be among the first groups to tee off Tuesday for the final round, going off with players from Washington and Princeton from the first hole starting at 8:40 a.m.
