CENTER VALLEY, Pa. – The Patriot League released its weekly women's soccer award winners on Monday, with Loyola University Maryland senior Hannah Hoefs honored as the conference's Midfielder of the Week.

Hoefs (New Market, Md./Linganore) is chosen for the second time this season and the third time overall in her collegiate career. She provided the only goal in Loyola's 1-0 win at Lehigh to open up Patriot League play on Saturday, curling in a free kick from 25 yards out in the 70th minute.

That strike was her team-leading fourth of the season, and she has contributed to five of Loyola's eight goals overall on the year. Hoefs leads the Patriot League in points per game (1.1) and she is tied for the conference lead in goals. Dating back to last season, she has three goals and a pair of assists in Loyola's last three conference games.

Freshman Paige Sim, who made five saves in goal while making her first collegiate start, was among those to receive honorable mention accolades. Sim is 2-0 with a 0.43 goals-against average and a .900 save percentage in her first three appearances at Loyola.

The Greyhounds are back on the road Tuesday afternoon, traveling to Delaware State for a 4 p.m. non-conference matchup. Loyola returns to Ridley Athletic Complex on Saturday, hosting Holy Cross in a Patriot League tilt at 3 p.m.
