Welcome to the fourth week of our What's In The Bag feature, presented by the
Pinnacle Advisory Group! Meet one of our two seniors,
Steven Weingroff, who is spending his quarantine time starting his new job (remotely!) in New York City.
Nicknames: "My friends call me Steve or Groff, but recently my close friends have begun calling me Steven for an unknown reason."
Â
Favorite Quote:Â "I was listening to a Ken Griffin talk in high school and he promulgated a quote from Abraham Lincoln that has stuck with me over the past four years: 'Things may come to those who wait, but only those things left by those who hustle.'"
Â
Favorite Memory of the Season:Â "There are many memories that I cherish deeply from this year, but my favorite one took place at Maidstone Golf Club,
Brandon Berry, Mike Mansfield and I were walking up the 18
th fairway – it was a stunningly gorgeous late afternoon day in October – the sun was setting and bagpipes were playing as we watched the sun set in the west and finished our round playing up 18, heading east toward the ocean with the waves crashing in the background. Bliss!"
Â
How am I keeping busy?:Â "I recently started working at Morgan Stanley in New York City, and I have been fortunate enough to continue working from home during this pandemic which has kept me extremely busy as I continue to work and learn the private wealth management business. Also, I am studying for my licensing exams and completing my schoolwork for graduation, which has kept me quite busy as well."
What are my plans for post-graduation?: "I will be moving to NYC where I will continue working and hope to continue playing competitive golf in the future."
