Full 2021 Schedule

BALTIMORE – Fresh off back-to-back appearances in the Patriot League semifinals, Loyola University Maryland's women's soccer program's drive towards another postseason run in 2021 will begin with a home matchup against Marist on Thursday, August 19.

That will be the first of 17 regular season games on tap for the Greyhounds, including nine contests at Ridley Athletic Complex. This fall's Patriot League schedule gets underway with a home game vs. Colgate on September 18. Loyola is one of just two programs to advance to the Patriot League Final Four in each of the last two seasons.

A pair of challenging matchups at Power Five schools highlight the Greyhounds' eight-game non-conference slate. After its opener against Marist, Loyola travels to face Clemson for just the third time in program history on August 22. The Tigers have reached seven-straight NCAA tournaments, including a run to the quarterfinals last spring. The last meeting between the two sides took place back in 1995.

Following a road game at Princeton (8/27) and a home date with Iona (8/29), the Greyhounds are off to face another ACC opponent, as they head to Wake Forest on September 2. This will be the fifth matchup all-time against the Demon Deacons, a series which includes a 2-1 Loyola win on Sept. 7, 2007.

A road game at Howard on September 9 is sandwiched between home Sunday matchups against Fairleigh Dickinson (9/5) and Delaware (9/12) to conclude the non-conference schedule.

The Patriot League returns to its standard one-division format this fall, with Loyola set to face each of the other nine conference institutions once during the regular season. Included in that slate are home games against Colgate, Navy (9/22), Lafayette (10/2), Bucknell (10/13) and Lehigh (10/16). 

The regular season concludes with a Wednesday night contest at American on October 27. The top six schools in the Patriot League standings advance to the conference tournament, while the top two earn a bye into the semifinals.

The Patriot League quarterfinals, which will have the No. 3 and No. 4 seeds host games, are scheduled for October 31. The top two seeds host semifinals on November 4, while this fall's Patriot League championship game will take place on Sunday, November 7.
