LANDOVER, Md. – 
Madelyn Ricard reached the final of the 60 meters on Saturday, finishing eighth to lead a small contingent of Loyola University Maryland indoor track and field competitors at the Cardinal Classic.
 
Ricard ran 8.25 in the preliminaries of the event to advance to the semifinals in seventh; teammate 
Ava Dunn also reached the next found while running 8.51 in 13
th. 
Onyinyechi Kenine was 25
th with a time of 9.08 in the preliminary round.
 
Ricard then ran her fastest time of the day, 8.20, in the semifinals and moved on to the final of the event. Dunn also had a faster time than she ran in the preliminaries with her 8.45 coming in 14
th.
 
In the final, Richard ran 8.23 to take eighth overall.
 
Kylie Maddalena and 
Marissa Branham Rodriguez also had top-10 finishes for Loyola at the competition, taking seventh and 10
th, respectively, in the 3,000 meters. Maddalena ran 11:25.11, while Branham crossed the line in 11:40.45.
 
Kasey Boag was the Greyhounds' lone runner in the mile race, and she posted a top-10, too, crossing the line in 5:35.25 to finish 10
th.
 
Loyola will be in action next weekend when it heads to State College, Pennsylvania, for the Penn State National.
