Jamie Adams broke a school record for the second day in a row, and 
Olivia Malley had one of the fastest event times ever at Loyola University Maryland, also for the second time in as many days, as the duo led the Greyhounds' track and field team this weekend.
 
Adams finished third overall in the 200 meters at the Penn State National, running 24.51 to break the school of 24.89 she set in December 2022. Yesterday, she broke her own 60-meter record twice at the meet. Adams' time was an ECAC Championships Qualifying mark.
 
Malley took second overall in the 600 meters at the competition, running the second fastest time in school history in the event. She crossed the line in 1:35.83, a personal-best time which was almost three seconds faster than her previous best set two weeks ago.
 
A large contingent of Loyola runners competed in Fairfax, Virginia, at the Patriot Games on Saturday with 
Ainsley Jodlbauer turning in the best individual finish.
 
Jodlbauer was one of two Greyhounds with a top-10 finish in the 400 meters as she took seventh in 62.69, and Catherine O'Connell was ninth in 63.67.
 
Madelyn Richard ran 8.08 in the semifinals of the 60 meters and was ninth overall in the event after also running 8.11 in the qualifying heats. 
Ava Dunn took 16
th in the event with a time of 8.48 in the semifinals.
 
The distance medley relay team of 
Meghan Leonard, 
Rachel Arwood, 
Carly Spinnler and 
Abby Potticary took third in 12:37.85, while another Loyola foursome – 
Lauren Riddle, 
Melanie Torales, 
Kasey Boag and 
Kylie Maddalena – was sixth in 13:13.64.
 
Megan McCusker was 13
th in the 60-meter hurdles (10.91), and 
Marissa Branham Rodriguez finished 28
th in the mile (5:39.24).
 
Leonard led four Loyola runners in the 500 meters, placing eighth in 1:20.62, while 
Taylor McHugh was 10
th in 1:22.08. Lauren Gerrow ran 16
th in 1:26.69, and McCusker took 18
th in 1:32.14.
 
Spinnler was the Greyhoudns' top finisher in the 800 meters, running 2:30.06 for 10
th. Arwood finished 12
th (2:30.97), and Torales was 21
st (2:38.30).
 
Sammie Spargo led three Loyola runners in the 1,000 meters, taking 11
th in 3:09.42. Maddalena finished 13
th in 3:20.59, and 
Maddie Hyde was 14
th in 3:22.14.
 
Dunn was the fastest Greyhounds runner in the 200 meters, claiming 17
th in 28.07, while 
Onyinyechi Kenine was 25
th in 29.77.
 
Riddle won her 3,000-meter heat and was 13
th overall in 10:53.54, and Boag took 19
th in 11:01.57.
 
The Greyhounds are scheduled to be back in action next weekend when they competed in the Scarlet Knights Open at The Armory in New York City on Friday and Saturday, February 3 and 4.
