ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Loyola University Maryland women's track and field had a strong performance Friday afternoon at the facility where they will compete in the 2023 Patriot League Indoor Championships next weekend, running Friday at the Navy Select.
 
Jamie Adams continued her success in the 60 meters, running the third-fastest time in school history, 7.71 seconds, to take second in the race.
 
Olivia Malley had a personal-best indoor 400-meter time, as well, clocking 58.20 to finish sixth with the eight-best time in Loyola history.
 
Carly Spinnler and 
Meghan Leonard finished third and fourth, respectively, in the 800 meters, running a pair of personal bests in 2:15.93 and 2:16.29.
 
Abby Potticary was second in the mile with a season-best time of 5:07.00.
 
Adams, 
Taylor McHugh, 
Ajia Morrison and Malley won the 4x400-meter relay in 3:56.08.
 
Madelyn Ricard took eighth in the 60 in 8.19, followed by 
Jessica Boos (9
th, 8.57) and 
Onyinyechi Kenine (10
th, 8.79). McHugh led three Greyhounds in the 200 meters, finishing seventh in 26.95. 
Lauren Gerow was 12
th in 29.25, and Kenine took 13
th in 29.67.
 
Morrison finished 10
th in the 400, running 60.32, while 
Ainsley Jodlbauer was 15
th (63.55), and 
Caroline O'Connell was a spot behind (63.88).
 
Rachel Arwood grabbed eighth in the 800 in 2:23.26, and 
Melanie Torales was 17
th in 2:29.63. 
Sammie Spargo finished eighth in the 1,000 meters with a time of 3:14.99, and 
Lauren Riddle ran sixth in the mile (5:16.70). 
Kylie Maddalena was ninth in the same race in 5:30.77, and 
Marissa Branham Rodriguez finished 10
th (5:43.71).
 
The Greyhounds will begin competition in the Patriot League Championships ono Saturday, February 25, at the U.S. Naval Academy with the competition wrapping up the following day.
