HARWOOD, Md. – Loyola University Maryland golf played a final tuneup before opening the Patriot League Championships on Friday, falling 5-1 to Marquette University at Anne Arundel Manor Golf Club.

Gustavo Rangel took the Greyhounds' lone point, beating Tyler Leach, 2&1, at the 7,213-yard course.

Marquette's Nicolas Evangelio defeated Mike Crowley, 3&2, while Bhroom Sima-Aree topped Carlo Pizzano, 2&1. Josh Robinson got pst Lorenzo Sanz, 5&3 with Aidan Lafferty edging Matt Malits, 1-up. Max Lyons outlasted James Rico, 1-up in a match that stretched to 21 holes.
