BETHLEHEM, Pa. – 
Lauryn Clarke was second in the 200 meters for the Loyola University Maryland women's track and field team, and men's cross country runner Camden Spring took second in the men's 5,000 meters as the Greyhounds competed Saturday at the Covert Classic.
 
Clarke ran a time of 25.53 seconds, the ninth-fastest in school history for her second-place finish, while 
Ava Dunn was fifth in the event in 27.10; 
Caroline O'Connell was ninth in 27.88.
 
Spring's time of 15:36.26 was good for second in the men's 5,000.
 
The Greyhounds also had competitors at the Penn Relays in three events this weekend with the 4x800-meter relay team of 
Abby Potticary, 
Isabella Coleman, 
Meghan Leonard and 
Olivia Malley taking 13
th in 9:15.61, the sixth-best tie in school history.
 
Jessica Boos, Clarke, 
Taylor McHugh and 
Madelyn Ricard finished 13
th (50.64) in the 4x100-meter relay.
 
McHugh was fourth in both the 100 meters and 400-meter hurdles at the Covert Classic, running the former in 12.79 seconds and the latter in 70.34. Dunn claimed eighth in the 100 (13.33), and 
Lauren Gerow was seventh in the hurdles (72.65).
 
Morrison was sixth in the 800 meters with a time of 2:21.60, and Torales finished 19
th (2:35.29).
 
Lauren Riddle finished ninth, and was the fastest of eight Greyhounds, in the women's 1,500 meters, running 4:57.80. 
Kylie Maddalena (16
th, 5:05.48), 
Sammie Spargo (19
th, 5:11.81) and 
Norah Affanato (20
th, 5:13.78) were all in the top-20. 
Marissa Branham Rodriguez (21
st, 5:15.75), 
Amaya Cunningham (23
rd, 5:17.39), 
Lily Angluin (24
th, 5:17.41) and 
Maddie Hyde (31
st, 5:31.88) also raced for the Greyhounds.
 
Billy Malone led three men's cross country runners in the men's 1,500 meters, taking eighth in 4:08.14. Dennis McNamara was 18
th in 4:19.44, and Luke Anderson finished 28
th in 4:35.11. Malone pulled a double with a run of 16:30.33 in the 5,000 to finish 12
th.

Melanie Torales were third in the 4x400-meter relay in 4:12.81.
