Sprinters Log Program’s Best-Ever Finishes At Patriot League Indoor Championships

BOSTON – Jamie Adams and Lauryn Clarke both finished fourth in two sprint events on Sunday, the best finishes for Loyola University Maryland sprinters ever at the Patriot League Indoor Track & Field Championships.

Adams took fourth in the 200 meters, and Clarke earned that place in the 60 meters.

As a team, the Greyhounds finished eighth with 13 points.

Clarke opened the day for the Greyhounds in the 60, running 7.65 seconds, a hundredth of a tick off her time in Saturday's preliminary round. She held off Navy's Jia Anderson for fourth by three-hundredths of a second.

Adams and Clarke then ran later in the 200 with Adams edging her classmate in the first heat of the race.

She ran 24.64 seconds to tie for the fourth-best mark in school indoor history; she now holds the five fastest 200-meter times indoors at the school.

Clarke was close behind, taking seventh overall with a time of 24.85 seconds, good for seventh in school history.

Clarke and Adams ran on the Greyhounds 4x400-meter relay team, along with Julia Baguiao and Caroline O'Connell, which took eighth in 3:56.69.

Kasey Boag crossed the line in 10:45.65 to take 25th in the 3,000 meters.
