BOSTON – Loyola University Maryland track and field returned to the site of last weekend's Patriot League Championships where
Jamie Adams and
Lauryn Clarke became the first in program history to score in sprint events at the meet, and the two continued their excellent performances at the ECAC Championships.
Adams broke her own indoor school record in the 400 meters, running 56.08 seconds to finish sixth in qualifying in reach Sunday's final.
She also advanced to Sunday's final in the 200 meters, running 24.86 seconds to claim the No. 6 seed in a second event.
Clarke will run in a pair of finals, as well, on Sunday after running three races Saturday.
She started with a race of 7.75 seconds in the 60 meters to move onto the semifinals. She came back with a time of 7.71 seconds, good for the No. 6 seed in Sunday's final.
Billy Malone of the Loyola men's cross country team, ran in the men's mile preliminaries and was 34
th in 4:24.03.
