WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J. –
Lauryn Clarke set her second school record on Saturday, breaking the Loyola University Maryland track and field mark in the 100 meters to add to her indoor 60-meter record.
Clarke ran a wind-legal time of 11.87 seconds at the Monmouth Opener to break the record set one year ago this weekend by
Jamie Adams of 11.99. Clarke finished first among 41 sprinters entered in Saturday's meet.
She was also part of the 4x100-meter relay team that took second in 47.88 seconds.
Madelyn Ricard,
Julia Baguiao, Clarke and
Jane Mazzeo ran the second-fastest time in school history in the event.
Clarke took third in the 200 meters, running a wind-aided 24.58 seconds (+2.8 m/s).
Isabella Coleman and
Meghan Leonard were second and third, respectively, in the 800 meters, running 2:17.02 and 2:21.21 for the Greyhounds.
Kiera Udell was 12
th in the event (2:27.56).
Coleman led four Greyhounds in the 1,500 meters with a ninth-place finish, running 4:46.17.

Sammie Spargo recorded a second-place finish for Loyola in the 3,000-meter steeplechase, running 11:54.35.

Lauren Gerow took 13
th in the 400-meter hurdles, turning in a time of 71.68 seconds.
Baguiao led the Greyhounds in the 400 meters, running 62.54, while
Claire Dalsass was 25
th in 63.12 and
Ajia Morrison took 26
th in 63.26.
Mazzeo was 15
th in the 100 meters (12.68), just in front of Ricard (12.99) and
Onyinyechi Kenine (41
st, 14.55). Mazzeo finished 27
th in the 200 meters (26.84), while Cruz was 31
st (27.15),
Elizabeth Gallagher 39

The 4x400-meter relay team of Dalsass, Leonard, Morrison and Gerow was sixth in 4:11.79.
