EASTON, Pa. – The Loyola University Maryland men's and women's cross country teams opened the 2024 season on a course that will be the site of their conference championships, competing in the Patriot League Preview on Friday afternoon.
Loyola's women took fourth, while the men were fifth on Lafayette College's Cross Country course.
Isabella Coleman led the women with a 15
th-place finish in 18:39.792, and
Kayla Hayes made her collegiate debut with a 17
th-place run in 18:43.229.
Norah Affanato and
Maeve Lowther were 26
th and 29
th in 19:15.926 and 19:17.740, while
Kiera Udell took 32
nd in 19:19.693.
Kasey Boag finished 57
th in 19:58.445, just in front of
Talia Banafato's 20:02.966, and
Mackenzie Newman rounded out Loyola's women's contingent in 74
th in 20:47.970.
Dillon Harding had a top-10 finish for the men in 10
th place with a time of 18:45.584 to lead the men's team, while
Mikey Byrnes (21

Christian Zawislack finished 33

Ryan Melendez and
Bryan Hickman finished less than a second apart in 57
