BOSTON –
Lauryn Clarke will compete for a pair of ECAC Indoor Track & Field titles on Sunday after qualifying for the 60- and 200-meter finals through preliminaries action on Saturday.
The Loyola University Maryland junior ran 7.59 seconds in the prelims of the 60 meters to post the fastest time in that round. She then eased to a time of 7.63 seconds in the semifinals of the event to qualify fourth for Sunday's final.
Clarke also qualified for Sunday's 200-meter final, running the fifth-fastest time in Saturday's preliminary round, 24.54 seconds.
Kiera Udell posted the eighth-best indoor mile time in school history on Saturday, finishing 15
th in the preliminaries of that event on Saturday.
Maeve Lowther also ran a personal-best in the event, taking 28
th in 5:06.52.
Jane Mazzeo was 28
th in 60-meter qualifying (8.02) and 36
th in the 200 (26.02).
Clarke's 60-meter finals are slated for 11:25 a.m. on Sunday, and the 200 is set to go off at 12:45 p.m.
