BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Loyola University Maryland men's and women's cross country opened their season on Saturday night, running a pair of 5,000-meter races against Lehigh University.
The Mountain Hawks won both races, but the Greyhounds came away with a host of personal-best times and solid performances to build upon.
Nathan Galloway took fifth overall as the top runner for the Loyola men, running 15:15, while
Ethan Ginyard made his collegiate debut and was 11
th in 16:02.
Grant Krawiec finished 14
th (16:06),
Camden Spring was 15
th (16:12) and
Jake Fowler finished a spot behind (16:13).
Tyler Vega rounded out the Greyhounds entries in 19
th by running 16:52.
Abby Potticary was the women's top finisher, taking eighth, one spot ahead of teammate
Grayce Heinemann. The pair ran 18:42 and 18:45, respectively.

th (18:57),

th (18:59) and
Caite O'Hehir finished 15
th (19:29).
Lauren Bailey was close behind in 16
th (19:44), and Samantha Spargo took 17
th (19:45).
Marissa Branham placed 18

Bridget Hackett 20
th (21:14).
