BALTIMORE – Loyola University Maryland men's and women's cross country will open the 2021 season with a pair of meets nearby the Evergreen campus as the Greyhounds return to a full schedule for the fall campaign.
The Greyhounds begin the slate of meets on September 10 in Annapolis, Maryland, where they will compete at the Navy XC Twilight. Two weeks later, Loyola will head into Baltimore County where it will compete at the Towson Alumni Invitational in Cockeysville, Maryland.
The first day of October brings the Paul Short Run in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, the first of three times the Greyhounds will run on Lehigh's Goodman Campus Cross Country Course.
Loyola will then compete at one of two races a few weeks later. One option will be the XC23 Invitational, hosted by the University of Virginia on October 15. Or, the Greyhounds may head north to Easton, Pennsylvania on October 16 for the Leopards Invitational.
Championship season starts on Halloween when the Greyhounds compete in the Patriot League Championships hosted by Lehigh. The Mountain Hawks then welcome teams from the region at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Championships on November 12
Loyola will then wrap up the year on November 20 with the ECAC/IC4A Championships at famed Van Courtland Park in The Bronx, New York.
