ANNAPOLIS, MD. –
Abby Potticary ran a strong race Friday evening to take second in the women's 6,000 meters, leading the Loyola University Maryland cross country teams at the Navy XC Invite.
Dillon Harding made his collegiate debut on the men's side and was the top finisher not from the host school, placing 11
th overall to pace the Greyhounds men.
In the team race, the Loyola women took second behind the Midshipmen, scoring 71 points to better UMBC's third-place score of 77. Navy and UMBC went one-two in the men's race, but the Greyhounds came in a strong third-place out of seven teams.
Three men's runners placed in the top-25, led by Harding's time of 25:07.81 on the 4.9-mile course at the U.S. Naval Acadmey Golf Club.
Nathan Galloway came in 17
th in 25:39.55, while
Patrick Cropsey was 25
th in 26:03.13.
Ethan Ginyard,
Tyler Vega and
Dylan Jock all cross the finish line within four spots of each other. Ginyard led in 34
th (26:34.44), and Vega was two spots back in 26:45.78. Jock rounded out the quartet in 38
th with a time of 26:47.26.
Camden Spring (49
th, 27:31.16),
Evan Skurat (50
th, 27:31.65) and
Bryan Hickman (55
th, 28:08.75) rounded out the Loyola men's contingent.
Behind Potticary's second-place finish of 22:55.15,
Grayce Heinemann (15

th, 25:06.95) all finished in the top 30 for the Loyola women.
Isabella Coleman ran 35
th in 25:50.19, and

Sydney Votruba placed 45
th in 26:54.15, and
Isabel Slimm ran 47
th in 26:57.74.
A pair of Greyhounds also ran in the men's 5,000 meters.
Aidan Day took 19
th in 18:12.77, and Conor Rebele was 24
th in 18:49.04.
Loyola dominated the women's 5,000 meters with 10 runners finishing second through 11
th.
Sammie Spargo was second in 22:14.19, followed by Carly Spinner (22:22.60),
Kasey Boag (22:22.74) and
Grace Shartle (22:23.84) in the top-5.
Olivia Malley was sixth in 22:27.64, while
Grace Morgan (23:13.23),
Bridget Hackett (23:39.83),
Allegra Devoe (23:40.99), EVee Schoenberg (24:13.02) and
Ajia Morrison (24:26.18) completed the Greyhoudns running group.
