Sixteen Greyhounds Win Events In Swimming & Diving Sweep Of Leopards

EASTON, Pa. – Sixteen different Loyola University Maryland swimmers won individual events on Saturday, five won two, and the Greyhounds set four pool records in a Patriot League sweep of host Lafayette College.

Joe Hayburn etched his name on the Weinstein Natatorium record board with two of his victories, Lily Mead broke a pool standard that had been on the books for 24 years, and both men's relay teams set new marks in the Greyhounds victory.

The men took a 204-95 decision against the Leopards, while the Loyola women were 184-116 victors in the meet that wrapped up a stretch of three competitions in five days to start the 2024-2025 season for the Greyhounds.
