Lex Therien Named Patriot League Player of the Week

Bethlehem, PA -- The Patriot League announced Loyola Unviersity Maryland's Lex Therien as its weekly Player of the Week award on Monday afternoon, her fourth career player of the week award and the first this season. 

Therien averaged 23 points, 9.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 3.0 steals over twp games last week. Therien began the week with 26 points, eight rebounds, four steals, and two assists against Mount St. Mary's. She followed it up with a 20-point, 11-rebound, three-assist, and two-steal performance in the Greyhounds big road win over Yale. 

Therien shot 16-25 (64%) from the field over both games, including 1-2 from three-point range, while also going 13-19 from the foul line. With her 20-point, 11 rebound double-double against Yale, Therien recorded her 50th career double-double, which is the most among all active Division I players.  

Through seven games this season, Therien is averaging career-high's in average minutes per game (31.9), points per game (16.4), assists per game (2.3), steals per game (2.3), and blocks per game (0.7), while also on pass to make the most three's in a single season in her career (4, 2023-24). 

Loyola returns to Reitz on Wednesday to host Delaware at 1:00 PM.
