WORCESTER, Mass. –
Lauryn Clarke qualified for a pair of finals on Friday, leading the Loyola University Maryland track and field team on the first day of the 2025 Patriot League Track & Field Championships.
Clarke had the second-fastest time in the 100 meters, running a wind-aided 11.75 seconds (+2.1) that was behind only Holy Cross' Abigail Desmarais who clocked 11.71 (+2.2) with a faster tailwind.
Clarke will go into Saturday's final in the 200 meters with the fifth-best time in the 200 meters after running 24.67 seconds in the preliminaries.
Loyola's 4x800-meter relay team –

Meghan Leonard,
Kiera Udell and
Claire Dalsass scored points for the Greyhounds on the first day, finishing seventh in the race with a time of 9:10.09, holding off Bucknell at the end by 28-hundredths of a second.
Leonard and
Lauren Gerow were 12
th and 13
th, respectively, in the 400-meter hurdles preliminaries. Leonard ran 65.28, and Gerow was 0.17 behind in 65.45.
Jane Mazzeo finished 14
th in the 100 prelims with a time of 12.40, and
Madelyn Ricard was 19
th in 12.88.
Maddie Van Haren ran 25.23 for 16
th in the 200 preliminaries, while
Elizabeth Gallagher was 29
th (26.85) and
Mia Maselli finished 31
st (27.06).
Nelly Cruz finished 17
th in the 100-meter hurdles in 15.41.
Nicolette Militi finished 17
th in the 400-meter preliminaries in 60.78, and
Julia Baguiao was 18
th in 60.84.

th in the 1,500 meters, respectively, with times of 4:54.96 and 4:56.04.
Kylie Maddalena finished 13
th in the final of the 10,000 meters in 39:46.56.
The Championships will conclude Saturday with start times for events moving up one hour due to predicted weather. Track competition will start at 11 a.m.
