BETHLEHEM, Pa. –
Dillon Harding and
Nathan Galloway again led the Loyola University Maryland men's cross country team to a best-ever finish, helping the Greyhounds to a 16
th-place showing at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional Championships.
The performance is the Greyhounds' best in the current format of the regional meet.
Harding ran the 10,000-meter course in 32:16.8 to finish 59
th for the Greyhounds. Galloway was just over a half-minute behind, crossing the line in 32:48.0 for a 76
th-place finish.
The Greyhounds nearly had an unprecedented three finishers in the top-100 of the regional as
Patrick Cropsey took 101
st in 33:18.4.
Camden Spring was 18 spots behind Cropsey in 119
th with a time of 33:51.3, and
Jake Fowler trailed him by 17 to take 136
th in 34:30.7.
Dylan Jock was 156
th (35:29.9), and
Evan Skurat finished 164
th (36:33.0) to round out the Loyola contingent.
The Greyhounds women finished 25
th in the 6,000-meter race, led by
Abby Potticary in 103
rd (22:55.8) and
Grayce Heinemann in 111
th (23:04.1).
Kate Ragone and
Caite O'Hehir were less than a second away from each other as the former was 149th (23:45.7) and the latter 150
th (23:46.1).
Maeve Lowther and
Carly Spinnler also finished a spot apart as Lowther took 168
th (24:12.8) and Spinnler 169
th (24:15.8).
