BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Loyola University Maryland cross country opened the championship season for the Greyhounds on Friday, running in the 2021 Patriot League Championships on a road course at Lehigh University.
Both the Loyola men and women finished ninth at the meet.
Nathan Galloway had the top finish of the day for a Loyola runner, taking 29
th (23:05.7) on the men's side. He was followed by
Camden Spring who was 47
th in 24:32.4.
Jake Fowler was close behind in 53
rd (24:55.8), and arant Krawiec trio of Greyhounds –
Connor Rebele (25:29.5),
Grant Krawiec (25:34.7) and
Ethan Ginyard (25:35.1) – were 59
th, 60
th and 61
st, respectively.
Tyler Vega was 63
rd (25:38).
Abigail Potticary led the Loyola women with a 48
th place finish (21:58.2), and
Grayce Heinemann was just four seconds behind in 50
th (22:02.3).
Kate Ragone finished three spots back of Heinemann in 53
rd (22.18.2), and
Sydney Votruba took 59
th (22:42.9).
Caite O'Hehir was a place back of Votruba in 60
th (23:00.4 to round out the Greyhounds' scoring. Samantha Spargo finished 61
st (23:04.9), and
Marissa Branham was 65
th (23:21.6), while
Lauren Bailey took 68
th (23:54.5).
