COCKEYSVILLE, Md. – Loyola University Maryland runners
Nathan Galloway and
Abby Potticary both finished second in their respective races Saturday as the Greyhounds competed at the Towson Alumni Invitational.
The men's team finished second, while the women were third on the 8,000-meter and 5,000-meter courses.
Galloway paced the men's team that had two in the top five –
Dillon Harding finished fourth for the Greyhounds – with a time of 26:19.43; Harding was nearby in 26:36.98.
Patrick Cropsey had 10
th-place finish in 27:22.98, while
Ethan Ginyard and
Jake Fowler were 13
th and 14
th in 27:41.75 and 27:43.13, respectively.
Camden Spring was the sixth Loyola runner in the top 20, running 18
th in 28:10.43, and
Bryan Hickman took 21
st in 28:15.47.
Dylan Jock (23
rd, 28:24.93),
Evan Skurat (24
th, 28:41.40),
Connor Rebele (25
th, 28:44.58) and
Evan Alander (26
th, 29:53.99) all finished in a tight pack with
Aidan Day (28
th, 30:26.33) right behind.
In the women's race, Potticary took second in 19:40.47, holding off Towson's Casey Walter who was just under four second behind.
Three more Greyhounds registered top 10 finishes, as well.
Sarah Bullock led that group in eighth (20:13.77), and she was followed by
Isabella Coleman (9
th, 20:19.29) and
Grayce Heinemann (10
th, 20:28.78).
Kate Ragone and
Lily Angluin were in the top 20 with finishes of 18
th 21:02.32 and 21:08.13, respectively.
Grace Shartle (23
rd, 21:31.89),
Maeve Lowther (26
th, 21:44.99),
Marissa Branham (27
th, 21:48.61),
Megan Daviero (29
th, 22:05.02) and
Isabel Slimm (30
th, 22:07.33) rounded out a group in the next 10 runners.
Caite O'Hehir and
