Gold Wins Three Events, Robinson Two, In Women's Swimming Win Over Richmond

BALTIMORE – Bryce Gold won three events, and Haley Robison earned two wins, on Friday afternoon as Loyola University Maryland women's swimming and diving earned a 167-133 victory over Richmond.
 
The Greyhounds opened the meet with a win in the 200-yard medley relay, as Virginia Walsh, Bryce Gold, Christine Datovech, and Haley Robinson touched first in 1:43.39. Loyola's B and D relays also finished in the top five, with the team of Kelly Bruen, Meghan Donovan, Michela Schultz, and Gabby Jones placing third (1:46.78) and Grace Dwyer, Makenna O'Brien, Kate O'Brien, and Madison Testa taking fifth (1:51.10).
 
In the distance events, Ellie Davis was fourth in the 1000 freestyle (10:33.39), while Faith Karr placed sixth (10:40.55).
 
Loyola's mid-distance swimmers turned in a strong showing in the 200 freestyle, with Riley Fried finishing second (1:55.13), Testa fourth (1:57.80), and Lauren Lane fifth (1:58.21).
 
The Greyhounds swept the 50 backstroke, led by Walsh in first (27.11) and followed by Dwyer and Maeve Brandenburg, who tied for second (27.44).
 
Loyola dominated the 50 breaststroke, as Gold took first (29.17), Donovan third (30.40), McGerald fourth (30.56), and Oslislo fifth (31.32).

In the 100 butterfly, Datovech placed second (56.60), Schultz third (57.14), and Lomonosov fourth (58.19).
 
Robinson claimed victory in the 50 freestyle (23.59), while Gianna Davis was fourth (24.55) and Jones fifth (25.00). Davis also added a runner-up finish in the 100 freestyle (53.62).
 
In the 100 backstroke, Dwyer finished second (58.73), Brandenburg was fourth (58.88), and Walsh took fifth (58.97).
 
Gold added another win in the 100 breaststroke (1:04.45), followed by McGerald in fourth (1:06.71) and Donovan in fifth (1:08.06).
 
In the 500 freestyle, Fried led Loyola in third (5:09.02), with Schultz fourth (5:13.19) and Karr sixth (5:16.30).
 
Robinson later added her second victory of the night in the 50 butterfly (24.11), followed by Lomonosov in second (26.34) and Davis in third (26.45).
 
In the 100 individual medley, Gold won again in 57.39, while Fried placed fourth (1:00.76) and Julia Mason fifth (1:03.02).
 
Loyola's divers also had an impressive showing. Calista Fasser won the 3-meter board with a score of 244.40, followed by Annie Dockx in fourth (215.40) and Kassidy Georgevich in sixth (205.25). On the 1-meter board, Kate Mundorf took first (224.85), with Fasser third (214.10) and Georgevich sixth (199.10).
 
The Greyhounds capped the afternoon with a victory in the 400 freestyle relay, as Cecilia Van Lierop, Schultz, Robinson, and Fried combined to win in 3:29.84, while Loyola's B relay of Gianna Davis, Jones, Testa, and Walsh took third (3:36.42).

The men's team competed in exhibition events during the meet, as well:
