Lauryn Clarke won a pair of races Friday as the Loyola University Maryland women's track and field team competed at the Navy Select, the Greyhounds' final tune-up before next weekend's Patriot League Championships.
The Greyhounds will return to Annapolis, Maryland, for the Patriot League Indoor Track and Field Championships Saturday-Sunday, March 1-2.
Clarke scored a pair of victories for Loyola, winning the 60 meters in 7.57 seconds and the 200 with a time of 24.59 seconds.
Her time in the 60 ranks second all-time at Loyola, just five-hundredths of a second back of her school record 7.52 finish last month.
She ran a personal-best in the 200, good for No. 2 all-time at Loyola, eight-hundredths of a second off the school record.
Kiera Udell had a third-place finish for the Greyhounds in the mile, running the No. 10 time in school history in the process. She finished in 5:04.08, holding off William and Mary's Abby Lane by just over a second.
Nelly Cruz was fifth in the 60-meter hurdles, running 9.32 seconds, and
Maggie Yost was 16
th (10.55).
Jane Mazzeo had a top-10 finish in the 60, running 8.00 seconds flat for 10
th.
Madelyn Ricard had the same time of 8.00 seconds and was 13
th, while Madison Van Haren was 16
th (8.06) and
Mia Maselli ran 8.09 for 17
th.
Kasey Boag and
Norah Affanato were 15
th and 16
th in the mile, running 5:23.53 and 5:43.24.
Julia Baguiao was eighth in the 400 meters in 61.82, while Yost ran 65.34 for 12
th,
Ajia Morrison was 13

Chelsea Ayitey-Adjin finished 14
th in 66.70.
Meghan Leonard took 11
th in the 800 meters in 2:20.26, and
Kat Zysk ran 2:20.37 for 12
th, while

Maeve Lowther took sixth in the women's 1,000 meter in 3:00.01.

th in the 200 (26.17) and Mazzeo was 15

The Greyhounds two entries in the 4x400 relay. Van Haren, Maselli, Dalsass and Zysk were second in 4:08.23, while Gallagher, Leonard, Lowther and Udell ran 4:17.38 for third.
Several Loyola men's cross country runners competed on Friday, too. Billy Malone was 14
th in the mile, and Nick Paganelli ran 4:34.23 for 15
th. Ryan Melendez finished ninth in the 1,000 meters (2:46.55).
Dennis McNamara was 11
th in 8:59.37 in the 3,000 meters, while Christian Zawislack finished 12
th (9:19.30) and Ailin Oberlies was 13
th (9:42.38). Malone, Paganeli, Melendez and McNamara were second in the 4x400 relay in 3:42.34.
